Playful color, and joyful patterns dominate while keeping things light, bright, and functional in the central space.
Pushing out the back of the house we were able to accommodate a large kitchen, mudroom, home office, and laundry space for a newly combined family with four kids.
The dining room was inspired by the idea of a soft, glowy dinner party. “We wanted to choose a color pairing that would be flattering and still give us a unique and nuanced feel. Something that felt old-world,” explains Avery.
“To make it feel deep, soulful, and grown-up, we used a mix of old and new furniture and leaned into the masculinity of the palette—all while making room for joyful punches of color,” says Avery.
