Family Farmhouse — East Texas
New Build
As a stand alone farmhouse that sits a field away from a larger Ranch style compound in East Texas, this charming home serves as a folly for the owner, a matriarch who dreamed of a space where she could showcase her extensive collection of Willow Blue and comfortably work on her many quilting projects.
Avery and her team embarked on a light renovation, and filled the space out with appropriately scaled furnishings and antiques. They expertly sourced new and placed existing collections of art and ceramics throughout. The renovation showcases a harmonious blend of the surrounding light and views, complemented by cherished family heirlooms that infuse the home with warmth and sentimentality.
Inspiration — Americana, Muhly Grasses, Pendleton
The design embraces a lived-in aesthetic with soothing open air blues, rustic reds, and warm creams, creating a soulful and grounded atmosphere. The result is a farmhouse that not only celebrates family and tradition but also offers a safe haven filled with natural light and inviting warmth.
